Twenty-five years ago, when I began developing my first lifestyle resort in Western Australia, there was a noticeable lack of local expertise in both the private and government sectors. Back then, navigating the complexities of the industry was a challenge due to the limited knowledge available.  

Today, the landscape has transformed significantly. The industry has matured, and there is now a wealth of knowledge and experience at our disposal. The Western Australian government has also come on board, recognising our model as a viable solution for affordable seniors housing and supporting it with appropriate legislation.  

Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of building relationships with individuals who have poured their expertise into this sector. Many of these professionals have become specialists in their fields, and I’m grateful that several have chosen to join the Providence team. Their dedication and skills will be instrumental as we look to grow and evolve in the coming years.  

At the end of June, as we wrapped up the financial year, we celebrated with a staff luncheon. To add a bit of fun to the event, I posed a secret question to the team about their impressions of each colleague. We then created caricatures of each staff member, paired with the feedback they received, as a light-hearted way to showcase our appreciation for one another.  

It’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to the Providence team. Their hard work and commitment are the cornerstones of our success, and I look forward to what we will achieve together in the future.
